Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2-3

Product Used

Extra Virgin Avocado Oil

Ingredients

For the French Toast:

4 slices of thick bread (brioche or sourdough)

2 large eggs

½ cup plant-based milk (or dairy)

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp cinnamon

Pinch of salt

1 tbsp Grove Avocado Oil (for cooking)

For the Maple Berries Sauce:

1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

1 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)

Method

1. Make the Maple Berries Sauce:

In a small saucepan, combine the berries, maple syrup, and lemon juice.

Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water, then stir into the berries. Cook for 1–2 more minutes until thickened.

Remove from heat and set aside.

2. Prepare the French Toast:

In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.

Dip each bread slice into the mixture, soaking both sides.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add Grove Avocado Oil.

Cook each slice for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.

3. Serve:

Plate the French toast, spoon warm maple berries sauce over the top, and enjoy!

Optional toppings: fresh berries, extra maple syrup, or a dollop of Greek yogurt.
